WHAT IS FIBROMYALGIA?

Fibromyalgia is a syndrome, with many symptoms - sleep disturbances, fatigue, cognitive disorders, stiffness, numbness, tingling. The main symptom is widespread muscle pain.

There is no known cause but researchers are investigating genes, hormones, neurotransmitter regulation, the immune system and sleep disturbances.
